ZACH Theatre‘s fall 2019 schedule is out now, and it’s packed with a variety of classes for kids of all ages, starting as early as age 1! As kids start back with their regular schooling, don’t forget that arts programs are not only fun, but they also provide a large list of benefits to their participants including boosting self-confidence, teaching cooperation, and boosting memory skills, among many others.
All classes, taught by professionals in the field, train young actors in creating theatre while having fun and learning essential skills. Programs for younger students focus on creativity, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive environment. Classes for grades four and up focus on deeper technique, performance skills, and preparing for the next big role.
Free Fun In Austin continues to highlight Austin area locations and activities that may not be available at this time. We encourage you to take all safety measures to keep yourself and your neighbors safe. It is our hope that the stories and features on this site will help inform your plans in the future.
Classes are held at two ZACH Theatre locations — the Downtown (1510 Toomey Rd) and the North Campus (12129 North FM 620), and start on September 7, 2019.
Some of the ZACH Theatre classes that kids can choose from include Wee Play (for babies), Act the Story: Dragons, Wizards, and Fairies (grades K-1), Production Workshop: The Greatest Showman (grades 2-12), Create a Play (grades 2-3), Broadway Kids: Moana (ages 3.5-5 & grades K-1), and Musical Theatre Workshop: Mary Poppins (grades 4-5).
