Wear your costume and listen to children’s musician Staci Gray sing spooky songs, then parade around the library at the annual Pumpkin Parade! FREE!

Halloween Trick-or-Treat for Books Storytime!
Tuesday, October 31 at 10:30 a.m. | Book People, 603 N Lamar Blvd, Austin
Gather at BookPeople this Halloween for a storytime starring a favorite group of preposterous puppeteers! Storytime will feature stories full of monsters, ghosts, and witches (but none of them will be too scary). Then, after storytime, join the costume parade around the store, which will start on the second floor and end at the front of the store where you’ll get your treat – a FREE book to bring home! This Halloween Party is perfect for witches and wizards ages 7 and under. Have a Spook-tacular Halloween at BookPeople!  FREE!

Sensory Storytime

Sensory Storytime features interactive books, singing, and music and will incorporate some sensory activities, like movement and bubbles. This program welcomes children of all abilities to create an inclusive environment. Recommended for ages 5 and under. FREE!

Family Night: Pajama Storytime
Tuesday, October 31 at 6 p.m. | Westbank Library, 1309 Westbank Dr, Austin.
A storytime for a parliament of night owls of all ages — along with their night owl caregivers! On the spookiest night of the year, put on your Halloween costume, grab your cuddliest sleepy toy, and join Ms. Kristi to hear the best bedtime stories ever. The milk and cookies are provided! FREE!

October 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  |  Various
The City of Austin hosts a Howl-O-Scream Halloween event at five district sites: Gus Garcia Recreation Center, Turner-Roberts Recreation Center, Givens Recreation Center, Dove Springs Recreation Center, and Dittmar Recreation Center. All ages are welcome to enjoy treats, carnival games, and a haunted house. Attendance is FREE! Plus, all who attend will receive 10 FREE tickets with the option to buy a $3 wristband for unlimited fun and a snack. Cash only, please!

Jaelyn was born and raised in Kansas, but she got to Texas as soon as she could! After a few years of youthful fun in Dallas, Jaelyn decided to make her passion her career and headed to west Texas to make it happen. There, she honed her musical chops while studying Commercial Music, and then headed straight for Austin to help keep it weird. Once here, she unexpectedly found her soul mate, and loves that her husband and two boys are now her biggest fans! Besides being a musician, Jaelyn also works as a corporate event planner, is a self-proclaimed “celebratory expert” and a long-time foodie.
