Scooters. Let’s Fix This Mess. 
Monday, May 13 | From 6 to 8 p.m. | Capitol Factory, 701 Brazos St.
Do you love or hate scooters? Would you like to have a voice in how the problems caused by electric scooters are solved? Join the Good Idea Company for three Facilitated Design Thinking workshops at Capital Factory. We will develop a full inventory of the electric scooter problems, create multiple iterations of possible solutions, and design prototypes and action plans for change. Let’s work together to make this better.

She Should Run’s Road to Run
Monday, May 13 | from 6 to 9 p.m. | Central Branch, Austin Public Library, 710 W. Cesar Chavez
At Road to Run: Austin, they will examine and discuss the importance of women taking their first steps toward new leadership opportunities, political or otherwise. After kicking off the evening with cocktails and networking, attendees will hear from inspiring women in business and politics, make meaningful connections with a passionate community, and leave with actionable strategies to kick off their own personal leadership journeys.

Learn Carfit, Drive Safer and Longer (Pflugerville)
Tuesday, May 14 | from 3:30 to 5 p.m. | Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Pflugerville, 2600 E. Pflugerville Parkway, Pflugerville
Learn about changes – in cars, roads and our bodies as we age – and how those changes affect driving. Get tips on how to drive more safely and learn also how to use CarFit, a 12-step checklist that helps drivers feel more comfortable and safer behind the wheel. The free Baylor Scott & White HealthSpeak education series class is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14. Seating is limited. Summer Sunset Series
Tuesday, May 14 | from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Republic Square, 422 Guadalupe St.
Join for Summer Sunset Series 2019, presented by Topo Chico and sponsored by Outdoor Voices, in Republic Square. An hour vinyasa flow led by a Wanderlust Yoga Austin instructor and accompanied by a live musician or DJ. We hope to build a connection through the activation of yoga, music and community. This free event will be open to the public and catered to all levels of yoga experience. Every Tuesday this summer.

Free Kickboxing at Republic Square

Jackalope Screening at the UMLAUF
Wednesday, May 15 | at 7 p.m. | UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum, 605 Azie Morton Rd.
Please join at The UMLAUF for a private screening of Jackalope, a documentary exploring the world of Texas art in 1975 through the eyes of artists of the day. Artist featured is sculptor, James Surls, whose exhibition is currently featured at The UMLAUF.

Letterpress Play Grand Opening
Thursday, May 16 | from 5 to 9 p.m. | Letterpress Play, 2300 S Lamar Blvd. #108
Letterpress PLAY paper toys and art launches a hands-on studio/retail space in Austin with a free grand opening celebration. All ages are invited to enjoy a night of imagination handcrafted in Austin. The grand opening and ribbon-cutting will showcase the local wonder of Letterpress PLAY’s mission and their paper DIY crafts that produce zero-waste paper toys, cards, washable paper hats, hankies and posters for a cause. Join this joyful and free event at the Letterpress PLAY studio and retail space with sweet and savory biscuits from our friends at Confituras Little Kitchen. At 7 p.m. you won’t want to miss the ribbon cutting ceremony as hosts and guests are serenaded by the Minor Mishap Marching Band.

Love Goes Through Your Mind Screening

An Indian-American family must grapple with a new reality when their high-achieving son drops out of college and returns home a different person than when he left.  Film followed by a Q&A with Director Ronak Shah. Presented in collaboration with IndieMeme Film Festival.

The Flea features all local handmade items and vintage wares from some of Austin’s most amazing and talented vendors. Find one-of-a-kind gifts any occasion including jewelry, bath/body products, vintage, original artwork, paper goods, textiles and so much more! Entrance to the event is free and open to all ages!

Ratatouille Free Outdoor Screening with Antonelli’s Cheese Shop

Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. They’re thrilled to welcome Antonelli’s Cheese Shop as our special Community Partner’s on this event! We’re planning to have an Antonelli’s-enhanced menu at the Community Grille, reps from Antonelli’s engaging with the audience, and some other surprises up our sleeves as well. Explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards and cash accepted!). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
