Spend the evening indoors working on a different project every week.  Everyone gets his or her own craft. Supplies are limited. Free tickets for the event will be available at the Greeter Desk 30 minutes before the program start time. For families with children 5 and up.

Summer Kids Series at Austin Humane SocietyHumane Hero Hour
Tuesday, July 23 | from 10 to 11 a.m. | Austin Humane Society, 124 W. Anderson Lane
Keeping our animals happy and healthy, has never been more fun! The kids will get crafty as they work on making toys that will actually be used by our animals at the shelter! These toys help keep the dogs and cats active and engaged while they wait to find their forever home. Once they make them, they’ll get to see the toys in action. You’ll meet some furry friends along the way. Plus, we’ve got some surprises in store! This session is recommended for children 8 and younger.

Why is our cat doing that? How do we get our dog to sit? What baby animals live in Texas? If your child has ever asked any questions along these lines – Tail Talks is for you! Join the fun as we dig a little deeper into the world of dogs, cats and shelter life at the Austin Humane Society. These interactive sessions are best suited for 8-12 year olds and will include special guests each week highlighting topics like Why’s My Cat Doing that: Cat Behavior 101, That’s a Good Pup: Doggy Training Tips, and more!

Rob Duquette Music Show
Tuesday, July 23 | at 2 and 3:30 p.m. | Pflugerville Public Library, 1008 W Pfluger St, Pflugerville
Everyone is welcome to attend.  Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Rob Duquette incorporates world musical genres and infuses important lessons about kindness, empathy and environmental responsibility.  He’s got a few songs that are just plain silly too…..  Rob sings his original music accompanying himself on guitar, ukelele, and percussion from around the globe. Space is limited.  Free tickets for the event will be available at the Greeter Desk 30 minutes before the program starts. This show repeats at 3:30 pm. 

Summer Sunset Series
Tuesday, July 23| from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Republic Square, 422 Guadalupe St.
Join for Summer Sunset Series 2019, presented by Topo Chico and sponsored by Outdoor Voices, in Republic Square. An hour vinyasa flow led by a Wanderlust Yoga Austin instructor and accompanied by a live musician or DJ. We hope to build a connection through the activation of yoga, music and community. This free event will be open to the public and catered to all levels of yoga experience. Every Tuesday this summer.

Unplugged at the Grove

Join Austin City Limits Radio in celebrating 26 years of ACL Radio’s Unplugged at the Grove with free live music every Thursday evening at the iconic Shady Grove on Barton Springs Road! It’s 23 consecutive weeks of the best live music, food, and fun you’ll experience under the clear, warm skies of Austin, Texas, with absolutely no cover charge! All ages are welcome to attend, and folks 21+ can enjoy $4 Ziegenbocks. The live music kicks off at 8 p.m.

Movies in the Park – Road to El Dorado

Beat the heat with Austin Parks Foundation at Dick Nichols park for a special Movies in the Park. Grab your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the animated adventure-musical film, The Road to El Dorado,  under the stars on Thursday, July 25 at 8:45 p.m. Come hungry, because Casey’s New Orleans Snowballs, Rosarito Atx, and The Mighty Cone food trucks will be on site.

Georgetown’s Music in the Square Summer Concert Series
Friday, July 26 | from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Downtown Georgetown Square, 116 W 8th St, Georgetown

Music on the Square, a free summer concert series, returns to “The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas” in Georgetown, just 25 miles north of Austin. These family-friendly, live music shows run Friday nights from June through August, with the exception of June 7, July 5, and August 2. There’s music for everyone including the Wilson String Band playing country rockabilly, Megatune playing reggae & Motown, Mike Hamilton playing saxophone jazz, and Lexxi Garza performing 80’s & 90’s covers.

Little Free Outdoor Screening
Friday, July 26 | from 8 to 11 p.m. | Community Cinema & Amphitheater, 9301 Hog Eye Rd

Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Come explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards only, cash no longer accepted). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
