Ice Skating on the Whole Foods Plaza ($10)
Monday through Friday, December 24 – 28 (closed on Christmas Day) | from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on most weekdays | Whole Foods, Plaza Rooftop, 525 N. Lamar Blvd.
$10, includes skates. Closed on Christmas, but open on Christmas Even from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and back to regular hours on Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please check the website or call Lamar Guest Services at (512) 476-1206 to confirm public skating hours on weekdays.

37th Street Lights
Monday through Friday, December 24 – 28 | from 6 to 11:45 p.m. |
37th Street, 505 W. 37th St.
This street is out of this world! Swing by any evening this December to witness the stellar light displays that we have created to share with you! Located on the street across from Amy’s Ice Cream on Guadalupe, by La Tazza Fresca. Home owners ask that you enter from the Guadalupe side of the street to drive down. Please dim your lights and drive slowly.

Monday

Armadillo Christmas Bazaar ($10)
Monday, December 24 | from 11 a.m. to 10 a.m. | Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd.
This year Armadillo Christmas Bazaar offers shoppers 12 days to explore an exciting variety of fine art, handmade gifts, heirloom pieces, and stocking stuffers from over 175 carefully curated contemporary artists and makers. Enjoy at least three live music performances per day, two full bars and delicious local food, while shopping from national and local award-winning artists and makers, all in a festive, lively atmosphere. This family-friendly, fun holiday shopping experience is one you don’t want to miss.

YAD’s Annual Mazel Ball
Monday, December 24 | from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. | Market and Tap Room, 319 Colorado St.
Austin’s Jewish Christmas Eve Tradition — YAD’S 18TH ANNUAL MAZEL BALL! No cover charge and $5 drink specials all night at our own private venue! This is the place to be on Dec. 24 with the rest of Austin’s Jewish young adult community. Don’t miss out on one of YAD’s biggest parties of the year with 200+ attendees. Bring your friends and come meet new ones… because really, would you rather be home alone, waiting for Santa?

Texas Wildlife Day

Celebrate everything feathered, furred, smooth, and scaled at Texas Memorial Museum! FREE admission and FREE family-friendly activities hosted by UT Austin scientists, TMM science educators, and members of local chapters of Texas Master Naturalists. Museum exhibits open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the activities run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Bow Wow Reading with Roo the Dog
Wednesday, December 26 | from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | Little Walnut Creek Branch, APL, 835 W. Rundberg Ln.
Certified Austin Dog Alliance volunteer teams with trained therapy dogs will be waiting for kids to read stories to them. This program improves children’s reading and communication skills by employing a powerful method: reading to a dog. Open to children of all reading levels.

Mozart’s Annual Light Show

Mozart’s Coffee Roasters, 3825 Lake Austin Blvd.
The 9th Annual Joyous Mozart’s Christmas Light Show is here and better than ever! This year is an on-going experience with over one million LED lights, a giant coffee mug, and more. New this year is the Cobalt Blue Piano that will be played by pianist all season long. They also have a German Market in the parking lot serving warm treats as you walk in. Whether you’ve been before or not, this is the year to add the Mozart’s Light Show to your calendar!
