Teddy Bear Clinic at Preschool Story Time

Bring along your favorite stuffed animal or doll for a special check-up at the Teddy Bear Clinic. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center of Lakeway will promote health and wellness with a story time, crafts, and a quick check-up for stuffed animals!

Puberty: What’s the Body and Brain Got to Do With It?  (Georgetown)

Calling all parents of 8-12 year olds! Puberty isn’t only a confusing time for our children, it can also be stressful and confusing for their parents! Research is clear that children want their parents to talk to them about puberty and relationships. Even if they’re rolling their eyes and sighing, it’s just for show! Join Tiffany Sturman, M.P.H. for a discussion on how to become the empowered and informed parent or trusted adult your child wants you to be! Practice Yoga Austin YTT Presents Summer At The Springs

The tradition of #FreeYoga, #FreeSnacks & #FreeSwim continues for the 6th Annual Summer At The Springs! Practice Yoga Austin’s Teacher Trainers will be leading class every Monday night through August at 7:30 on the Zilker hillside. Post yoga fuel will be provided by Thunderbird Bar, Local Leaf Tea, Kosmic Kombucha, Curcuma, Rhythm Superfoods, Wildway, BE-KIND Snacks and Bento Picnic followed by Free Swim at Barton Springs!

Join for a FREE baby play time at Toybrary Austin every Tuesday afternoon. Babies must be 1 mo. to 6 mos. to participate.

Yoga for Teens and Tweens
Tuesday, August 7 | at 3 p.m. | APL Yarborough Branch, 2200 Hancock Dr.
Tweens and Teens ages 8 and up should join us to unwind and cool down on Tuesday afternoons with Pure Action Yoga.  This class is designed specifically for ages 8 to 17. Austin Public Library offers other yoga and meditation programs for different ages. Check the calendar for where and when.

KGSR’s Blues on the Green

93.3 KGSR Austin’s Blues on the Green presented by H-E-B invites music lovers out to Zilker Park to enjoy the final family and pet friendly night of homegrown music in a relaxed atmosphere. Grab your family, friends, dogs, and blankets, and join us for Austin’s largest FREE concert series with special guests The Oh Hellos and Bidi Bidi Banda!

Dog Days of Summer

The dog days are upon us so Austin Parks Foundation has partnered with Texas Rowing Center to host Dog Days every Thursday from July 26 to August 23! 50% of proceeds from each day will go back to Austin Parks Foundation, so head out on the water with your pup while also giving back to Austin’s parks. There are a limited number of doggy life vests available, so bring your own if you have one!

Kids Summer Movie Series
Thursday, August 9 | from 2 to 4 p.m. | Old Quarry Branch APL, 7051 Village Center Dr.
Kids Summer Movie Series will be creening Rock Dog. (PG)  Free Family Event.

Meet Her Hands: Cindy Popp
Thursday, August 9 | from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. | Elisabet Ney Museum 304  E. 44th St. Austin, TX 
Join  for the opening reception and artist talk for Cindy Popp’s exhibition on August 9 at the Elisabet Ney Museum. The exhibition opens at 6:30 p.m., followed by a tour of the museum at 7 p.m. and an artist talk at 7:30 p.m.

Cool Summer Nights: Music Night
Friday, August 10 | from 6 to 9 p.m. |Bullock Texas State History Museum, 1800 Congress Ave.
The final Cool Summer Nights will take inspiration from Austin’s thriving music culture and the Museum’s exhibition celebrating the history of Austin City Limits. Guests can pick up a ukulele and experiment, experience contemporary opera or try their hand at song writing.

Dittmar Recreation Center The Last Sip Of Summer
Friday, August 10 | from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Dittmar Recreation Center 1009 W Dittmar Rd.
The Dittmar Recreation Center is hosting an end of summer gathering for the local Community called ‘The Last Sip of Summer.’ At this event we will have family friendly activities along with live music. We will also include information vendors for the participants. We will not be having any food vendors as we will not be selling any food, however, we will be using the popcorn machine and snow cone machine for free snacks. This event is meant to bring the local community together for one last family friendly and fun event to cap off the summer. There will be games with prizes and open play opportunities for the community while the music plays. Local Band Texas Inc. will be the musical guest.

The Mean Girls Free Outdoor Screening

Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a FREE movie night at Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screeningGet there early to explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks. Hot dogs, milkshakes, popcorn, candy and drinks will be available for purchase (cash preferred). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
