Mighty Fine Burgers, Fries & Shakes Back to School Celebration

Craft Night Felt Succulents and Flowers

Create felt succulents and flowers using the Cricut Maker! Create headbands, pins, or “plant” your felt succulents in mini pots! All supplies provided. Light refreshments will be available. Free and open to the public.

Donation Based Storytime Yoga

Bring your kids of all ages (babies are very welcome) to watch their favorite stories come to life through yoga poses in this donation based class! If you’ve never visited our studio, this is a great way to get an idea of what kids yoga looks like! *please register online beforehand*


Kids Eat Free at Easy Tiger Linc

Celebrate back-to-school at Easy Tiger! They are kicking off their kid-friendly ‘Cub Club’ menu with live music & activities at The Linc. Kids 10 and under eat free all day from the Cub Club menu with an in-kind donation of school supplies to benefit Austin’s For The Children supply drive. A Back to School Celebration happens from 5 to 8 p.m.

Unplugged at the Grove

Join Austin City Limits Radio in celebrating 26 years of ACL Radio’s Unplugged at the Grove with free live music every Thursday evening at the iconic Shady Grove on Barton Springs Road! It’s 23 consecutive weeks of the best live music, food, and fun you’ll experience under the clear, warm skies of Austin, Texas, with absolutely no cover charge! All ages are welcome to attend, and folks 21+ can enjoy $4 Ziegenbocks. The live music kicks off at 8 p.m.


Avengers Endgame Free Outdoor Screening

Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Come explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards only, cash no longer accepted). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated. Donations can be made via donation bucket at the venue.

HobbyKids Adventures Walmart Tour – Austin

Come meet your favorite YouTube family – HobbyKidsTV! Play games, see all-new toys, and learn about the new HobbyKids Adventures animated series on YouTube. Make sure you’re there to meet HobbyPig, HobbyFrog, and HobbyBear in person! Fun for all ages and a free collectible poster for all the fans!

Campfire 101 – Making Camping S’more Fun
Friday, August 23 | from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Lockhart State Park, 2012 State Park Rd, Lockhart

Join us for a fun evening of campfire instruction and s’mores! Campfires often go hand and hand with camping, so come see how to build one safely with a live demonstration! All ages welcome. Prepare: Dress for the weather. Bring water and your sweet tooth. No registration required. Meet: Meet in the day use area. If driving from park HQ, pass the pool and take your first right-hand turn into the day use area parking lot. Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).

Frida Friday ATX

Frida Friday ATX in August will be on the fourth Friday. We’re heading back to school with lessons from our GREATEST Diva inspirations: Whitney and Juanga. Music by one of Austin’s Greatest: DJ Chorizo Funk. Food, music, featured vendors and more to come! About Frida Friday ATX: Frida Friday ATX (FFATX) is Austin’s first and largest monthly self-identified womxn-of-color centered mercado y más, supporting and amplifying womxn-of-color and allies in Tejaslandia! More than a market, Frida Friday ATX is a movement. Over the last two years, FFATX has proudly brought Austin a full line up of self-identified WOC vendors, artists, musicians and more to bless their events and vendor spaces each month. We’ve worked with over 150 vendors, and supported always created performance, partnerships and collaborations that center WoC-led economie.

FFATX believes in womxn supporting womxn, and are super proud of the community we’ve been able to foster. We see our work as intersectional and understand that utilize our creative spaces to help bridge the wage gap that WoC experience daily.
