  1. 2018 Creek Show
    Friday, November 9, through Sunday, November 11 | from 6 to 10 p.m.  | Waller Creek, Between 9th and 11th Streets
    Wander along Waller Creek and experience the wonder of Waller Creek Conservancy’s 5th Annual Creek Show! The free-family event returns November 9 through 17 for nine-nights of free light-based, site-specific art installations along Waller Creek. This year’s show takes place at a new location along Waller Creek, between 9th and 11th streets and will showcase the renovated Symphony Square, the new home of the Conservancy. Creek Show’s new location offers new experiences and exciting opportunities including a concert series in the historic Symphony Square amphitheater, a family activity zone, and the Creek Show Lounge, an exciting place for attendees to relax and engage with interactive activities and learn about the Waller Creek parks project.
  2. Bastrop’s 13th Annual Veteran Day Car Show (Bastrop)
    Friday, November 9 | at 4 p.m. | Historic Downtown Bastrop
    The Bastrop Area Cruisers car club is honoring American veterans with its Heroes & Hotrods: Bastrop’s 13th Annual Veterans Weekend Car Show. The festivities begin Friday night with the car show cruise-in located in Historic Downtown Bastrop. Kick back and watch the vintage cars, truck and hot rods roll into town for this once a year event! This is a unique, behind-the-scenes experience.
  3. Wreck-It Ralph Free Outdoor Screening
    Friday, November 9 | from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  | Community First! Village, 9301 Hog Eye Rd.
    Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards and cash accepted!). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
  4. Bastrop’s 13th Annual Veteran’s Day Car Show (Bastrop)
    Saturday, November 10 | from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Historic Downtown Bastrop
    The Bastrop Area Cruisers car club is honoring American veterans with its Heroes & Hotrods: Bastrop’s 13th Annual Veterans Weekend Car Show. Hop in your ride and roll on over to Bastrop for live music, tribute and award ceremonies, and a showcase of flashy classic cars. Be there on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the main show with vintage cars, truck and hot rods. Proceeds benefit veterans’ organizations, auto tech scholarships and various charities.
  5. Merry Market Place
    Saturday, November 10 | from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Bethany United Methodist Church, 10010 Anderson Mill Rd.
    Holiday shopping with up to 60 vendors! Breakfast and lunch available in the café. Drop-in childcare available for shoppers and volunteers (donations requested to offset staff costs). Large silent auction with donations from all vendors and from local businesses holiday photo ops with Santa—bring your camera! Santa will be there from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Delicious bake sale supporting MOMs’ missions. Alternative giving opportunities (gifts that support local and worldwide causes).
  6. Eastside Harvest Fest
    Saturday, November 10 | from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Eastside Memorial Early College High School, 1012 Arthur Stiles Rd.
    Join the Eastside Memorial ECHS family of schools and Austin Voices for the annual Harvest Fest. This free event aims to bring together our community and our Eastside family of schools to celebrate the fall season. The day will include: live music performances, raffle for gift cards and prizes, children’s activities, resources for families and more!
  7. Light the Night
    Saturday, November 10 | from 5 to 8:15 p.m. | Circuit of the Americas, 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd.
    Light The Night is a community event for all age groups. Friends, families and corporations gather together to bring Light to the darkness of cancer in a night full of hope, celebration and remembrance. Registration is completely free and all registered participants will receive an illuminated lantern. If you choose, you may fundraise in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma & Hodgkin’s disease, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
  8. Arrival Free Outdoor Screening Panel Discussion

  9. Austin’s Veteran’s Parade and WWI Ceremony
    Sunday, November 11 | from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Congress Ave., Downtown Austin
    Parade from 9 to 10 a.m., music at 10:30 a.m., Memorial Ceremony at 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Opening, proclamations by state and local leaders, guest speaker Major General John. F. Nichols, roll call to honor war dead with wreath laying, bell tolling, 21 Gun Salute and taps, British & French dignitaries. Ceremony takes place at the Texas State Capitol, South Steps.
  10. Sunday at Polish Film Festival
    Sunday, November 11 | at 10 a.m. | AFS Cinema, 6406 N IH 35 Frontage Rd. Suite #3100
    The conclusion of the 13th Austin Polish Film Festival includes free admission to children program, screening of shorts and documentaries and the Polish poster art exhibit. Free admission from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click here for more schedule info.

  • Art Squared Arts Market (San Marcos)
    Saturday, November 10 | from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Downtown Square San Marcos, 150 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos
    The Art Squared Arts Market is a juried fine arts and fine crafts event that happens every second Saturday, from March through December, in San Marcos, Texas.  This open air art market is open from 9am-4pm and features all handmade, original artwork shown by the artists themselves.  In addition to all the great art there is live music, free yoga/tai-chi, free kid’s arts and crafts, featured non-profit organizations, and a farmer’s market adjacent to the art market.  Art Squared is produced by the San Marcos Art League and is sponsored by the San Marcos Arts Commission.
  • Turkey Time Shoot (Manor)

    Bring the family and try archery for free! Great for anyone ages 8 and up. We provide all the equipment. If you have always wanted to try archery, this is the event for you! This is a come and go event. Come check out this area’s newest archery facility. Certified coaches will outfit you with archery equipment, give you basic safety and shooting instruction and then let you test your skills with a bow and arrow!
