- Mondo Gallery Presents: The Art of Laurent Durieux Part Two

Laurent Durieux is a celebrated illustrator and graphic artist from Brussels, responsible for some of Mondo’s most memorable works of pop art, including a 2013 poster of JAWS, which also caught the eye of Steven Spielberg. His unique style is immediately recognizable, and spans both classics and modern cinema alike. On display through November 17 during regular gallery hours: Tuesday through Saturday, Noon to 6 p.m. This show is FREE and open to the public.

Wander along Waller Creek and experience the wonder of Waller Creek Conservancy’s 5th Annual Creek Show! The free-family event returns November 9 through 17 for nine-nights of free light-based, site-specific art installations along Waller Creek. This year’s show takes place at a new location along Waller Creek, between 9th and 11th streets and will showcase the renovated Symphony Square, the new home of the Conservancy. Creek Show’s new location offers new experiences and exciting opportunities including a concert series in the historic Symphony Square amphitheater, a family activity zone, and the Creek Show Lounge, an exciting place for attendees to relax and engage with interactive activities and learn about the Waller Creek parks project.

Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards and cash accepted!). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.
- McNeil High School Holiday Bazaar

A holiday shopping event that features 100 vendors, food trucks, and entertainment. This is a fundraiser for the McNeil High School Class of 2019 Project Graduation event. Project Graduation gives McNeil Seniors access to a safe, fun, drug and alcohol-free celebration on graduation night!
- Fall Harvest Family Festival

Come to the Elisabet Ney Museum as we celebrate fresh fall weather with live music from The Holdouts, fall treats and cider, nature art activities, outdoor games, and animal demonstrations. The Bouncy Castle will be back too! Learn about the surrounding nature, the fall landscape, have fun and enjoy the cool air!

Explore the solar system in the planetarium. Meet a nocturnal animal. View more through their telescopes. Event is free.
- Saturday Night Concert Series at Hill Country Galleria
Saturday, November 17 | from 5 to 8:15 p.m. | Hill Country Galleria, 12700 Hill Country Blvd.
Hill Country Galleria is hosting their signature Saturday Night Concert Series every Saturday in November with music starting at 7 p.m. in the Central Plaza. Guests can sit back, relax and enjoy this free event with family and friends. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to lounge on the grassy lawn during the show and arrive early to shop and dine at Hill Country Galleria retailers and even get their meal delivered straight to the Central Plaza. Sun Radio 100.1FM will be on-site to emcee the event and introduce guests to the band. This week’s band is Ready Betty, who will take you on a musical journey back in time. This time warp begins from 1940’s swing, 1950’s rockabilly and Groovy 1960’s.
- East Austin Studio Tour

Big Medium’s East Austin Studio Tour (EAST) is a free, annual, self-guided art event spanning across two weekends in November. EAST provides opportunities for the public to meet the local artists and artisans of Austin in their creative spaces. The 2018 tour includes 585 participants, with 272 Artist Studios, 65 Galleries, 194 Temporary Exhibitions, 44 Happenings, and 10 Libraries. The event takes place over two weekends, November 10 to 11 and 17 to 18, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
- Festival of Learning

Join for an afternoon of FREE family fun and learning. There’s something for everyone! Alt Ed Austin is proud to bring our community’s attention to the abundance and diversity of unconventional learning opportunities we are so fortunate to enjoy in the Austin area. They’ll have information and activity booths hosted by innovative learner-centered schools, preschools, and other amazing programs serving both kids and adults. The Festival of Learning will also feature popular food vendors, cool arts & crafts for all ages, and family-friendly entertainment on an outdoor stage, capped off with a teen talent showcase after the school fair winds down, from 4 to 5 p.m.
- Quiet Company Garage Sale at Southern Heights Brewing Co.

Southern Heights Brewing Co. is hosting the first ever QUIET COMPANY GARAGE SALE on Sunday, November 18 from 2 to 6 p.m. It is FREE to attend! The goal is to help us raise money for future recordings and new merch. Sounds much more personal and fun than doing the standard Kickstarter campaign. Amazing craft beer from Southern Heights Brewing Co. with a limited edition 16oz Quiet Company Libby Glass on sale that comes with a free pint of your choice from any one of their 12 beers on tap. Plus, Quiet Company will play an hour-long live set as one-off performances all afternoon.
