  1. Supernatural Shindig

    Join for a super celebration of all things “Supernatural,” the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series. They’ll have crafts, trivia, costume contest and prizes, plus PIE! TV-14: This program contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age. ASL Interpreter at event.

    Celebrate the longest day of the year at South Congress Hotel’s Summer Solstice party from 7 to 11 p.m. Hear the release of Arya’s EP “it wasn’t love” discuss the astrological indicators of the solstice with 10 minute tarot readings by Lynn Carroll-Rivera. Free & open to the public. Cocktail specials with Juice Society.     Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Come explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards only, cash no longer accepted). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.

  8. Austin Refugee Day Festival
    Sunday, June 23 | from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Zilker Park Polo Picnic Grounds, 2300 Andrew Zilker
    The Austin community is invited to join us for a family fun event.  This free event is open to the public and will be a fun park day for the community that includes inflatable bounce house, carnival games for prizes, face painting etc. as well as education experiences and resource booths for attendees.  We’re excited to include soccer clinics for youth through a partnership with Austin Soccer Foundation. We will also be showcasing global foods for lunch in partnership with refugee clients that includes authentic Syrian, Afghani, Burmese, Congolese and Iraqi food!
  9. Idea Lab Kids Grand Opening Party

    Idea Lab Kids-Austin is excited to announce the Grand Opening Party for the first campus location. Entering into their 3rd Summer of STEM Enrichment Camps, Idea Labs is ready to create an amazing campus experience where campers will be engaged in STEM throughout the Summer months in an incredibly fun and engaging way. What to expect at this event: STEM Activities for ages 5-14 years old, Summer Camp giveaways, Idea Lab “Brain Box” activity pack giveaways, Campus Tours, Registration opportunities, Snacks and refreshments. You can expect to stay between 30-60 minutes, depending on how many activities you want your child to participate in.
  10. The Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park
    Sunday, June 16 | from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. | Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Dr.
    Couples lounging on blankets, old friends in their trusty folding chairs, lone bicyclists and pedestrians who have been distracted from their destinations—all united by the sound of music. The Hartman Foundation “Concerts in the Park,” presented by the Austin Symphony Orchestra, brings together ardent enthusiasts and unwitting attendees alike just as similar events did in town centers years ago. In its 17th summer season, these free ensemble concerts take place in the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace and run on Sunday evenings from June 2nd through August 25th (except July 7) 7:30 p.m. A gift from the Hartman Family Foundation, these concerts are presented to the Austin community in thanks for its continued, generous support. Each Sunday a different ensemble of the Austin Symphony will be featured at the new Hartman Park, located on the grounds of the Long Center for the Performing Arts, performing music from jazz and light classical to pops selections and film scores.
