  2. Opening Reception: Itsy Bitsy Spider and Other Magical Creatures

    Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a free movie night at our Community First! Village.
    Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening. Explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards and cash accepted!). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated.

    Join for a FREE language and art series presented by Austin Community College! Learn how to introduce yourself and other fun, important phrases. Learn to sing a song in another language and enjoy a craft lesson for the entire family!

  6. 12th Annual Puppy Bowl

    Another football season is heating up and the Austin Humane Society is counting down the days until the 12th Annual AHS Puppy Bowl presented by Heritage Ranch by H-E-B in partnership with Nestlé Purina Petcare. The big party before the big game is a football-themed, family-friendly tailgate which takes place on Saturday, February 2 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Austin Humane Society. This year’s tailgate will be jam-packed with delicious food, drinks, kid’s activities, and other vendors. Plus, our puppy players will again be on hand to make their prediction for Sunday’s big game as well as battle it out on the gridiron in the most adorable competition of the year – the MVP races! Join for this free event with your General Admission ticket or get the full VIP experience as a “Very Important Puppy-fan”!   7. PBS Kids at the Alamo: Valentine’s Day Mix ($1-$5)

    PBS Kids is celebrating Valentine’s Day with our favorite PBS KIDS characters including Daniel Tiger, Hal and Peg! Part of the ongoing PBS KIDS at the Alamo series. Reserve your seat with a donation of $1-$5, with all ticket sales benefitting KLRU-TV, Austin PBS. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules – noisy young fans won’t be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cellphones and other devices stay dark.     Join Dance Waterloo for What The Fit?! Flow at Easton Park, a pay-what-you-can fitness class. This class follows a gentle, Vinyasa flow yoga structure.     Crianças De Capoeira Angola AUSTIN is hosting a community event at The African American Culture & Heritage Center Austin. Capoeira is an Afro- Brazilian martial art form with origins in the Bantu regions of Ancient Africa. It combines elements of dance, fight, natural movement, and theatrical improvisation with rhythmic sounds of traditional call and response music.
  10. Super Bowl Party: Family Friendly Fun
    Sunday, February 3 | from 4 to 10 p.m. | The Hive, 10415 Old Manchaca Rd.
    Get ready to watch the game on the big screen while the kids are busy running off their energy and working up their appetite for some delicious RWB’s Chow Bus dinner (special kids menu available). There will be plenty of their famous wings to go around! We will have multiple tvs (including a large outdoor projector, weather permitting).
