Walton’s Fancy and Staple, the iconic downtown Austin deli, is celebrating a full decade of being in business by sharing the love with both people and pets. During the week of May 13 through May 17 visitors can pop into the deli and bakery for complimentary golden eggs. These treats are made with nutmeg infused yellow cake that is dipped in melted butter and coated with cinnamon sugar. Yum!!

Happy to support @thehonestshruth’s #KeepAustinWarm2018 initiative! We’ll be providing golden eggs as a dessert sponsor for the event benefiting @AustinPetsAlive, @Safe_Alliance & Hope Food Pantry. Get your tickets before they sell out!!
In addition to these treats, they’ll be giving away house-made dog treats to honor their celebration beneficiary, Austin Pets Alive! A percentage of proceeds from the week of celebration will be donated to the organization where the shop owners got their own dog, Walton, in 2015.
Walton’s Fancy and Staple originally began in 1969 as a small florist shop on Bee Cave Road. In 2009 in moved to West Sixth St and expanded its offerings to include breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, catering, and truly spectacular desserts and sweets.
Be sure to stop by during their anniversary celebration to enjoy a sweet treat and maybe pick up something for lunch or to take home, knowing your purchase is going to help a great cause!
