Community Cinema: Babe –  Tuesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. Mobiles Loaves & Fishes invites you to a FREE movie night at the Community First! Village. Bring chairs and a blanket to enjoy the family classic, Babe, with family, friends, and dogs on leashes. The event starts at 7 p.m. so you can pick your spot and grab some snacks (available for purchase, cash preferred), with the movie starting at sundown. Though the event is free, a $5 donation is appreciated when you RSVP to the event, as proceeds benefit this great nonprofit.

Tiny Tails Petting Zoo Story Time –  Wednesday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m. The Tiny Tails Petting Zoo returns to BookPeople for another wild storytime, featuring the furriest, friendliest guests around! If you love bunnies, guinea pigs, hedgehogs AND awesome books, then this is the perfect way to spend your morning. Come make new friends and learn all about these fascinating creatures.

Feeding the 5000 Austin –  Thursday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come by the south lawn of the State Capitol for a delicious lunch sourced entirely from fresh, quality produce that would have otherwise been wasted. There is no shortage of amazing food in Austin, yet every year we toss out tons of it — at a huge cost to our community, wallet, and planet. In addition to the FREE lunch, Feeding the 5000 Austin will feature a variety of activities, including cooking demonstrations, guest speakers, community organizations, and more.

1st Annual Monstronomous Boorific Spooktacular –  Friday, October 20 at 6 p.m. Please join us for this one night only, fangtasticly FREE family event. Something is brewing at Suds Monkey and it is not just the beer. We love to celebrate this time of year and want to share it with all our friends far and near. Here is just a bite…I mean a taste of the tricks and treats: eat dinner from the food truck, drink our witch’s brew, howl along with spooky sounds of Tommy Mojica, fear the fangs of our fluffy farm friends zoo, get creepy with Lisa’s Face Painting, unearth skeletons in the Haunted Brewery, and just be scary in the adults and kids costume contest! Tap room opens at 3 p.m. Festivities begin at 6 p.m.
