“Having worked with us for years now, Dani’s transition into our top leadership role is a natural next step,” Proud Highway CEO Stephen C. Webster explained. “While some noticeable things will be changing soon, friends and neighbors who depend upon our websites can rest assured that Dani and her team will continue everything we all love about Austin.com and Free Fun in Austin while infusing our sites with a new voice and personality that’s distinctly local.”

Dudek brings to her new role more than 20 years of experience in professional media and marketing circles. At the pinnacle of her TV career, with 12 Emmy nominations and 4 wins, Dudek decided to return to the city she loves most of all to take on new challenges, focusing on her own website (ATXGossip.com) and eventually joining forces with The Austin.com Network.

“I’m incredibly excited to tackle the role of editor in chief at The Austin.com Network,” Dudek said. “I look forward to implementing new content and concepts that will further cement our commitment to this city I so dearly love. There is so much potential for growth in this city that I can’t wait to get started! I am confident The Austin.com Network will only get bigger and better from here.”

The Austin.com Network, founded in 2013, is followed by more than 250,000 people, with a vast majority of that audience residing within Austin, Texas. Austin.com features local celebrity news, one of the most densely packed event calendars in town, and regular recommendations targeted at millennials. Meanwhile, Free Fun in Austin is frequented by the largest single audience of moms in the central Texas media market, thanks to our specialization on kid-friendly fun for families on a budget.
