Quiet Company Video Shoot in Austin

Free Fun In Austin continues to highlight Austin area locations and activities that may not be available at this time. We encourage you to take all safety measures to keep yourself and your neighbors safe. It is our hope that the stories and features on this site will help inform your plans in the future.

Quiet Company is shooting a live video for their song “Seven Hells” at the North Door, with the help of the Good Music Club. They need as many people out there as possible to jump around and dance, so they can make an awesome video! FREE and all ages. Doors at 8 p.m.; video shoot starts at 10 p.m. The band will play a full set as well. (North Door, 502 Brushy Street, Austin)

Crafts and Cocktails at TOMS with Jen Perkins

Join Jen Perkins, TOMS, and Darice, for Crafts and Cocktails at 7 p.m. Crafters will be supplied with everything they need to make their own dreamcatcher – doilies, feathers, paint, yarn, embroidery hoops and more. If you have your own, feel free to bring it too. BYO scissors is also a plus! Cocktails will be provided by Dripping Springs Vodka. Shakespeare at Ramsey Park: Henry the Fourth Part One

Shake out your picnic blankets for a night of Shakespeare under the stars! Something for Nothing Theater (S4N) returns to Ramsey Park with William Shakespeare’s Henry the Fourth Part One. Henry the Fourth will be performed with minimal props, costumes, and lighting, focusing on storytelling and the rich language of Shakespeare. Performed by a cast of 12 actors, most portraying multiple roles, Henry the Fourth is FREE and starts at 8 p.m., Thursday through Saturday. (Ramsey Park Picnic Pavilion, 4301 Rosedale Ave, Austin)

Unplugged at The Grove

Join KGSR at the iconic Shady Grove on Barton Springs Road for one of Austin’s longest running FREE concert series. Dazed and Confused at South Shore District Friday Night Films

South Shore District, in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse, is excited to announce the return of FREE Friday Night Films at South Shore District. The 90s-themed movie series will take place at 8 p.m. on the lawn at South Shore District. There will also be different food trailers at each film, including Garbo’s Fresh Maine Lobster, Burro Cheese Kitchen, Uncle Louie G’s Italian Ice, and Chi’Lantro, with food available for purchase. Wild Basin’s Second Saturday Guided Hike

“Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!” exhibit opens at the LBJ Presidential Library

The “Ladies and Gentlemen…The Beatles!” exhibit is coming to Austin and the LBJ Presidential Library is celebrating with a FREE day-long party, featuring live music from The Beatles cover band The Eggmen. The exhibit is a celebration of the fascination America has had with “Beatlemania” and the four lads from Liverpool during the past fifty years. Opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and will last until 5:00 p.m. This is the first time the traveling exhibit has been housed in Austin. (LBJ Presidential Library, 2313 Red River Street Austin)

Austin Symphony Hartman Foundation “Concerts in the Park”

The Hartman Foundation FREE “Concerts in the Park,” presented by the Austin Symphony Orchestra, bring the community together, just as similar events did in town centers years ago.
