Enjoy a rare opportunity to spend an evening with one of America’s most influential artists – Ed Ruscha. The artist joins Dr. Jessica S. McDonald, the Harry Ransom Center’s Nancy Inman and Marlene Nathan Meyerson Curator of Photography, for a discussion of the works featured in Ed Ruscha: Archaeology and Romance, the first major exhibition drawn from the Center’s Edward Ruscha Papers and Art Collection. Come early to see works by Ruscha, including photographs and sketches related to his landmark artist’s books, such as Twentysix Gasoline Stations (1963), Various Small Fires, Milk (1964), and more. Seaholm Waterfront Ice Cream Social

Join Austin Parks Foundation and The Trail Foundation to explore the potential plans for the historic Seaholm Intake Facility over FREE Lick Ice Cream. The goal for this revamp is to create an open and flexible space that can be used any day by the public and periodically for events, including improvements such as: flexible lawn space, multiple water access points, trail restorations and an amphitheater. Free Lick Ice Cream will be offered on a first come, first served basis, so come out early to beat the heat and the lines!

Saturday, September 8 | from 6 to 10 p.m. | Domain Northside, Rock Rose Ave.
Join Domain NORTHSIDE, in partnership with Nordstrom and Archer Hotel for the GR8 SK8 event. Portions of the streets on Domain Blvd., Rock Rose Avenue and Palm Way will be closed off to all vehicles as NORTHSIDE turns into a skating rink with music, prizes and swag, a photobooth, and refreshments. All ages are invited to roller skate around the property as the streets are transformed into an outdoor glow-in-the-dark roller skating rink. All tenants will remain open during GR8 SK8 and parking will be open in all lots. Guests are welcome to bring their own skates or rent a pair at the event for a suggested donation. Bring your family and friends to skate our streets. We will also have a special appearance from the Texas Rollergirls!

Saturday Night Concert Series at Hill Country Galleria

Hill Country Galleria is hosting their signature Saturday Night Concert Series every Saturday in September and continuing into October with music starting at 7 p.m. in the Central Plaza. Guests can sit back, relax and enjoy this free event with family and friends. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to lounge on the grassy lawn during the show and arrive early to shop and dine at Hill Country Galleria retailers and even get their meal delivered straight to the Central Plaza. Sun Radio 100.1FM will be on-site to emcee the event to introduce guests to the band.
