Salsa dance classes begin at 8 p.m. with happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. and reverse happy hour from 9to 11 p.m.

Come explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards only, cash no longer accepted). The event is free, however a $5 donation would be highly appreciated. Loud and Proud Open Mic Night

Every quarter, Y’all We Asian and the Asian American Resource Center hosts an open mic where anyone can sign up to try out anything in front of an audience! Flamenco Under the Stars

A’lante Flamenco wants to share their art with Austin! To make sure every Austinite has an opportunity to experience A’lante’s unique brand of flamenco, the company is offering two free shows at the Zilker Hillside Theater, September 20 and 21, 2019. Thundering footwork, chattering castanets, soaring vocals and blazing guitars bring Zilker Park alive after dark! We’ll be joined by special guest Alex Ruiz (of Del Castillo and Chingon) for the Friday show, and guest musicians from Agua Clara for both nights! Bring a picnic, a blanket, and plenty of friends to enjoy a fiery flamenco show featuring the company that has twice earned the “Best Dance Ensemble” award from the Austin Critics’ Table.  This is a free show, open to the public, and appropriate for all ages. Hill Country Galleria Concert Series

Hill Country Galleria, premier lifestyle center located west of downtown Austin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, is excited to announce the return of its Saturday Night Concert Series. Kicking off on September 14 with The Peterson Brothers, this music series will be hosted by Austin City Limits Radio and features local favorites such as Charlie Mars, Bob Schneider, and Fastball, and Guy Forsyth and Jeska Bailey Band. The concerts take place in the Central Plaza and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to lounge on the grassy lawn during the show. Admission is free and dogs are welcome.

Night Hike (Lockhart)

Explore the park after dark! Ever wondered who uses the park after the sun goes down? Join us to listen to owl calls, search for creepy crawlies, and embark on a hike to discover nocturnal animals and how they survive! All ages welcome. Prepare: Dress for the weather (sturdy shoes and layers recommended). Bring a flashlight, if desired. Registration not required. Meet: Meet your guide at the Park Headquarters. Park in the main parking lot. Fees: Program is free with entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under. If our office is closed when you arrive, please use the self-pay station at park HQ to check into the park.
