Lick’s Nothing but ’90s Birthday Bash

All proceeds from the event will be donated to AIDS Services of Austin, so mad props to y’all for helping support the cause with us! Dress as your favorite ’90s celeb or character to compete for a prize in the costume contest, or just because you want a reason to bust out your Doc Martens and JNCO Jeans. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Lick Honest Ice Creams party without lots and lots of ice cream. Guests will be treated to as much FREE ice cream as they can eat! Step right up!  Step right up!!  Ladies and gentlemen, you will stand spellbound with amazement as The Austin Pug Club proudly presents “The Greatest Pug Show on Earth” – our 16th Annual Great PUGkinFest.  Curiosities and oddities abound as countless Pugs parade in their finery to compete in this spectacle of spectacles!!  This event is FUN for all ages and we welcome the general public!  In addition to the costume contest, there will be a yumcious bake sale (cash only, bring lots!), vendors plying their wares, carnival games, and much, much more!!  This is a benefit for Pug Rescue of Austin.

12th Annual Murder, Mayhem & Misadventures Walking Tour

Join for the 12th annual Murder, Mayhem & Misadventure Walking Tour Oct 27, 2018 (rescheduled due to weather) at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  The free tours cover the chilling, untimely deaths of “residents” of Oakwood portrayed by actors at their grave sites. The 45 minute tours highlight historical – not scary – events and start every 15-20 minutes between 10 a.m. through 3:15 p.m. near the newly restored Oakwood chapel. Kids under adult supervision are welcome, but please leave your pets at home and wear closed-toed shoes. Sponsored by Save Austin’s Cemeteries -Donations welcome!

Oh Hello, Ot(h)ello – An Austin Opera & Austin Shakespeare Collaboration

A partnership fusing two worlds together for a special free production.  Performances by Austin Shakespeare’s Marc Pouhe and Austin Opera’s Coralyn Hӧhle with Nyle Matsuoka.  Ann Ciccolella, Austin Shakespeare’s Artistic Director, and Nathan DePoint, Austin Opera’s Director of Artistic Operations will also chat about the differences between Puccini’s Otello and Shakespeare’s Othello.
