Fright Night at Jo’s SoCo: The Return of the Living Dead

Get into the Halloween spirit at Jo’s! Every Thursday night in October, Jo’s will be showing a different spooky movie. This week’s feature is The Return of the Living Dead. They’ll have drink specials and popcorn available. Bring a chair because seating is limited. Movie starts at dusk and is FREE to attend. Son Little Residency at Hotel San Jose

ACL artist Son Little will be playing in the San Jose courtyard at 7:30 pm. Lending elements of acoustic blues, vintage soul, and conscious hip-hop into a mixture that’s expressive yet deeply personal, Son Little is the alias of Aaron Livingston, a singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter who divides his time between his own music and collaborating with others. The North Door presents Blue Cabernet Comedy Night

An amazing night of stand-up comedy curated and hosted by Kat Combs. An hour of hand-selected comedians will perform, with an open mic to follow, for anyone in the audience who would like to try out some new jokes. Admission is FREE and doors open at 9 pm. Hill Country Galleria Pinktober Wine Walk

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, the Hill Country Galleria has teamed up with Susan G. Komen Austin to create a PINK Wine Walk!  Enjoy pink swag bags filled with special offers from select Hill Country Galleria retailers, taste rose wines, and enjoy pink-themed items at each retailer on the Wine Walk. The Jitterbug Vipers specialize in a beloved cult jazz offshoot called “viper jazz,” a screeching U-Turn back to the party where jazz music packed the dance floor and dazzled the audience with brilliant streams of improvisatory musicianship. This musical heritage pulls from the cherished musicality of Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fats Waller, Cab Calloway, and Slim Galliard. Show is FREE and starts at 6:30 pm.
