This year’s show takes place at a new location along Waller Creek, between 9th and 11th streets and will showcase the renovated Symphony Square, the new home of the Conservancy. Creek Show’s new location offers new experiences and exciting opportunities including a concert series in the historic Symphony Square amphitheater, a family activity zone, and the Creek Show Lounge, an exciting place for attendees to relax and engage with interactive activities and learn about the Waller Creek parks project.

Big Medium’s East Austin Studio Tour (EAST) is a free, annual, self-guided art event spanning across two weekends in November. EAST provides opportunities for the public to meet the local artists and artisans of Austin in their creative spaces. The 2018 tour includes 585 participants, with 272 Artist Studios, 65 Galleries, 194 Temporary Exhibitions, 44 Happenings, and 10 Libraries. The event takes place over two weekends, November 10 to 11 and 17 to 18, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Light the Night

Light The Night is a community event for all age groups. Friends, families and corporations gather together to bring Light to the darkness of cancer in a night full of hope, celebration and remembrance. Registration is completely free and all registered participants will receive an illuminated lantern. If you choose, you may fundraise in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma & Hodgkin’s disease, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Landmarks Backyard Story Night

Join Landmarks, Austin’s Backyard Story Night, Dell Medical School, and the Humanities Institute to enjoy an evening of stories centered around the theme Healing Touch. Commissioned for the newly opened Dell Medical School, artist Ann Hamilton created a series of photographs that illustrate touch, something we typically feel rather than see. Hamilton’s larger-than-life portraits will serve as a backdrop for the evening of stories. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with tours of the work of art in the Health Discovery Building and Health Transformation Building. Stories will begin at 7 outside of the Health Transformation Building; please dress accordingly. Limited seating is provided but guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets; no outside alcoholic drinks permitted. Popcorn, cider, and hot chocolate will be provided; cash bar and snacks available for purchase.
