Hotel Granduca Tree Lighting + Holiday Aperitivo
From 6 to 7:30 p.m. Hotel Granduca will kick off the holiday season with a festive tree lighting ceremony and Aperitivo. All are invited to gather in the hotel courtyard to enjoy a night of cheer with delicious complimentary treats, including Italian mulled wine, hot chocolate, cookies and classic Italian appetizers, drinks specials, holiday-themed games from Austin Detours and more!

Game On! is a FREE event that brings together Texas video game developers from 6 to 10 p.m., showcasing their latest and upcoming creations. From indie to AAA, fast-paced battles to contemplative strolls, visitors are invited to embrace the wide variety of games made in Texas, and the variety of players driving the industry. Developers, gamers, families, and individuals who have yet to experience the joy of gaming are invited to come and check out the state’s thriving video game development scene, and play many games with their friends and neighbors.

December Block Party
It’s going to be a hoot and a hoof (or eight) at the in.gredients December First Friday Block Party from 6 to 9 p.m. There’s an awesome musical lineup with crowd favorites Batty jr. and local legend Ethan Azarian keepin’ it lively all night. Plus, Dear Run Land & Cattle Co. is bringing two friendly heifers to join the fun – pet a longhorn! The evening will also feature samples and sales from some of our beloved local vendors including Me & the Bees Lemonade, Kala’s Kuisine, O’ JOY, Texas Coffee Traders, the The AfroGypsy, Tamale Addiction and Texas Saké Co. As always, 1% of proceeds from the whole day will go to community partner, Lone Star Victims Advocacy Project.

Christmas Stroll on the Square (Georgetown)
The Downtown Georgetown Association presents its annual Christmas Stroll on the Square on Friday (5 to 9p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Guests will enjoy Georgetown’s own Winter Wonderland filled with activities such as visiting Santa, holiday treats in the food court, a special kids’ activity area, and new this year — a non-melting ice skating rink with FREE skate rental. There will also be a swing carousel and the very young will expend energy tackling the candyland obstacle course. Travel back in time to enjoy the re-enactment of life in Bethlehem Village, including a live manger. Enjoy live music and browse more than 150 arts and crafts booths. Admission is FREE but a new toy donation to Blue Santa or Brown Santa is encouraged.

Austin’s Inaugural Catio Tour
Don’t miss this very Austin, one-of-a-kind event! Austin’s first ever Catio Tour will showcase a dozen outdoor cat enclosures. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this self-guided tour will inspire cat owners to build or buy their own outdoor cat enclosure so their feline friends can enjoy safe outdoor time. The goal of this unique event is to spread the word about the many benefits of catios, and to inspire cat guardians to build one of their own or have one built! By providing a safe and secure environment, catios protect birds and provide cat guardians with peace of mind. FREE! Suggested donation of $10 per person. Maps will be provided via registration. Old Town Christmas Festival (Leander)
Every first Saturday of December: Old Town Leander comes alive to spread Christmas joy throughout the community. This event includes the Old Town Rudolph Run 5k, Leander in Lights Parade, an ice skating rink, activities for the kids, pictures with Santa, local school performances and entertainment, food court, local vendors, and more. Eberly Brunch Market Days
Eberly, thoughtful collection of dining, drinking and thinking spaces on South Lamar, is hosting its December Brunch Market Day on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On the first Sunday of each month, Eberly hosts unique local artisans on the patio (or in the Cedar Tavern depending on weather) during brunch. What The Fit?!
Join Dance Waterloo for a pay-what-you-can fitness class outdoors at in.gredients. Pairing elements of resistance band movement, yoga, and Pilates to stabilize and stretch, What The Fit?! is adaptable to all ages, levels, and abilities. What The Fit?! begins with a movement-based warm up, steadily progresses to conditioning of the core, arms, and legs using resistance bands, and finishes up with rejuvenating stretches of the legs, shoulders, chest, and back. Resistance bands are provided, but Dance Waterloo suggests bringing a large towel or yoga mat to use for abdominal work and/or modifications.
