Christmas Light Fest 2017
Up for a little road trip? Head to Boerne for dazzling lights, holiday activities and flavors, shopping, and the famous man in red are sure to fill everyone with holiday cheer. Starting November 23 through December 31, the Christmas Light Fest is an annual holiday extravaganza nestled on picturesque ranchland just outside of San Antonio in Boerne. Open nightly, the light spectacular features more than two million lights twinkling across light tunnels and holiday displays along a two-mile path and Santa’s Village, a rustic barn filled with holiday flavors, family fun, terrific shopping, and of course, Santa. Free Thanksgiving Dance
Thanksgiving comes on a Thursday, which means it’s a dancing night! Even better, it’s always free for dancers who are still around and looking for a little exercise after a feast. Though it’s FREE, there will be a box for donations if you are feeling in the grateful holiday spirit. The Austin Swing Syndicate is a 501(c)3 non-profit and we thrive with the support of the Austin swing dance community.

Friday, November 24

Miracle on 5th Street
The Roosevelt Room’s next-door event space The Eleanor will be transformed into Miracle on 5th Street starting on November 24. The temporary bar will offer seasonally-themed cocktails and kitschy decor through December 31. Attendees can expect to see rooms inspired by a 1980s-style living room decorated with Christmas kitsch and Winter Wonderland at the north pole, accompanied by nostalgic tunes and Christmas cheer in a glass. On the opening night, customers will find the holiday party of the season complete with swag under the Christmas tree, cocktail shaking elves, and a possible visit from Santa Claus himself. With the spirit of giving in mind, co-owners Justin Lavenue and Dennis Gobis have partnered up with the Barman’s Fund to donate all tips from opening night to the Austin Children’s Shelter.

Lone Star Court Friday Night Flix 
Relax after your busy day of Black Friday shopping at The Domain and experience Lone Star Court’s Friday Night Flix series. Classic movies are shown in the outside pavilion on the property, and all are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets, snuggle up by the fire pits and enjoy a night on the lawn with loved ones. The restaurant on-site, The Water Trough, will also offer happy hour prices all night. The series is FREE and this month’s classic movie being screened is The Addams Family!
