Christmas at Hope 2017
Amphion Choir presents their third annual performance of Christmas at Hope where they explore the hope and joy of the Christmas season with music ranging from traditional carols to contemporary arrangements and spirituals. FREE and fun for all!

Rockin’ Holiday Extravaganza ~ Panoramic Voices + Special Guests
Panoramic Voices with The Invincible Czars returns to the Blanton, featuring special guests Nakia, Andy Bianculli (of Star Parks) & Leslie Sisson (of Moving Panoramas) for a rocking holiday extravaganza! This performance is part of the monthly “Beat the Rush” series of FREE gallery concerts in which musicians perform in response to the paintings, drawings, and sculptures on display. Museum admission is always FREE on Thursdays.

Guerrilla Queer Bar: Homo For the Holidays
#GQB is back! And this time they’re taking over The Common Interest on Burnet Road. This will be their first KARAOKE outing so get those vocal chords warmed up. Most importantly they’re having a TOY DRIVE for the Helping Hand Home for Children, accepting UNWRAPPED toys for kids 4-13 (no used toys and no weapons of any kind, please!) to give to the kids over at HHH. Downtown restaurateurs have teamed up to bring the next installment of Downtown Bastrop Pub Crawls. The Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl is slated to take place on Friday, December 22nd , from 6 to 9 p.m. The 2017 Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl participants are: Old Town Restaurant & Bar, Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard, The 602 on Main, Viejo’s Tacos & Tequila, Grace Miller’s, and Copper Shot Distillery. Though this event is not free, your $25 ticket includes a donation to Operation Santa Cop. More info here.

Austin Symphony Orchestra Christmas in the Community Concert
Christmas in the Community is a series of FREE concerts held throughout the city of Austin featuring different ensembles of the orchestra playing familiar holiday music. The final performance happens this Saturday at 6 p.m. at the new central library location with a big band setup.

Holidays at Domain NORTHSIDE

Every Sunday is 80’s Nite at Elysium (yes even Christmas Eve). From 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., you and your fellow 80’s fans can debate whether or not Die Hard is the best 80’s flick while you dance the night away to the best tunes ever.

Sunday is the final night to experience J’oy Vey. Even the world’s great religions are not exempt from the barbs of these outspoken grandmas in this Christmas/Chanukah comedy that will entertain the whole family without breaking your holiday budget. Gammy Leigh has big plans for a holiday overnighter with her grandbabies, including a surprise visit from Santa. But she isn’t alone with her twin grandbabies for five minutes when Bubbie Arlene unexpectedly arrives armed with Chanukah gifts galore and a know-it-all attitude that even the most mellow Gammy can’t abide. Thus begins a fierce competition for the title of World’s Best Grandma and a battle of wills that leads the ladies to debate everything from breastfeeding to the merits of Arlene’s ex-husband.
