The LINE Austin Presents Final Sunset Waves Party

The LINE Austin is celebrating the final Sunset Waves party with Tobacco from popular Philadelphia rock band, Black Moth Super Rainbow. Swimsuits are encouraged. Paletas and Alcoholic Otter Pops will be available.

Wednesday, August 15

Sound & Cinema
Wednesday, August 15 | at 6 p.m. | Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd.
Oh those summer nights! In partnership with the Alamo Drafthouse and Do512, grab your friends and family and experience the cool vibes of Sound & Cinema on the Long Center’s front lawn—live and local music combined with classic movies and cult films projected onto the Drafthouse’s giant, inflatable outdoor screen. For each event, food trucks will open at 6 p.m., music begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by the film screening after sunset.

Wednesday Movie Night
Wednesday, August 15 | at 8:15 p.m. | Lucille Patio Lounge, 77 Rainey St
Every Wednesday at sundown see two movies on a huge projector movie screen. They’ll have free popcorn and great drinks. Tonight’s movies are The Hangover and Bridesmaids.

Thursday, August 16

Dog Days of Summer

The dog days are upon us so Austin Parks Foundation has partnered with Texas Rowing Center to host Dog Days every Thursday from July 26 to August 23! 50% of proceeds from each day will go back to Austin Parks Foundation, so head out on the water with your pup while also giving back to Austin’s parks. There are a limited number of doggy life vests available, so bring your own if you have one!

Austin Parks Foundation’s Movies in the Park

There’s nothing to hate about Austin Parks Foundation’s Movies in the Park screening of 10 Things I Hate About You at Martin Multipurpose Fields.  Every summer, Austin Parks Foundation and the Alamo Drafthouse have partnered up to bring free movies in parks all over Austin. Bring a blanket and friends to enjoy this throwback classic under the stars!

W Austin Hosts Annual Red Fez Pop-Up

W Austin’s annual Red-Fez Pop-up is visiting Austin’s past to bring back a party that will never go out of style.  Come celebrate Rewind’s resurrection of Austin’s most notorious 90’s bar, Red Fez. Get down to beats and hip-hop throwbacks by DJ Kurupt along with a live performance by Atash on Friday, August 17, from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Mondo Gallery Presents – Heroes in a Halfshell: A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Celebration
Friday, August 17 | from 7:30 to 10 p.m. | Mondo Gallery, 4115 Guadalupe St.
Mondo is stoked to invite TMNT fans to celebrate everyone’s favorite wise-cracking, pizza-obsessed crime fighters and their cast of heroic allies and evil arch enemies in our next gallery show, Heroes in a Half Shell: A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Celebration! The show kicks off with an opening night reception that’s free and open to the public. The opening night reception will be held Friday, August 17, from 7 to 10 p.m. Following the opening reception, the show will run during regular gallery hours (Tuesdays – Saturdays from 12 to 6 p.m.) until August 25.

Georgetown Sunset Movie Series (Georgetown)
Friday, August 17 | at 7:30 p.m. | San Gabriel Park, 445 E. Morrow, Georgetown
Grab a blanket or some chairs and enjoy a movie under the stars! Georgetown Parks and Recreation hosts films at the soccer fields in San Gabriel Park, located behind the Creative Playscape. This is a free community event. The movie starts at sunset. Arive early for free popcorn along with some fun and games, starting at 7:30 p.m. Free parking is available at the Georgetown Recreation Center.

Avengers: Infinity War Free Outdoor Screening

Mobile Loaves & Fishes invites you to a FREE movie night at Community First! Village. Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screeningGet there early to explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks. Celebrate Bollywood dance and Indian culture! Bollywood Day is a festival that showcases South Asian culture, food, clothing, music, vendors and contests. The festival will culminate in a record-breaking Bollywood dance attempt, where dancers and non-dancers alike participate in one massive dance number. This year the goal is 2000 people of all age groups and ethnicities dancing together! Let’s make it happen! Apart from the practice videos for the event, practice sessions for the dance will also be held every hour on the hour at the venue. Want a reason to dress up in Indian clothes and dance to Indian music? Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park

These free ensemble concerts take place at the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace, and each Sunday a different ensemble of the ASO will be featured. A variety of music will be performed, from jazz and light classical to pops selections and film scores. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and blanket and make it a group outing.
