UT Department of Theatre and Dance presents A Shadow Among Strangers: Performing the Life and Works for Edgar Allan Poe

The romance, passion and fears of Edgar Allan Poe are brought to life by actor Lucien Douglas in this dramatic, solo performance that includes The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, Eleonora, To Helen, selected letters and more. Lucien Douglas has acted in more than 100 roles in numerous venues, including Broadway, Off-Broadway’s Roundabout Theatre, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Theatre/Virginia, North Shore Music Theatre and Clarence Brown Theatre Company. The FREE performance will begin at 7:30pm. (Oscar G. Austin City Limits Taping: Cyndi Lauper

Austin City Limits is pleased to announce a new taping with a pop culture icon: the one and only Cyndi Lauper. The New York native scarcely needs any introduction. She’s a two-time Grammy-winning, multi-platinum selling singer and songwriter with a string of instantly recognizable hits: “True Colors,” “She Bop,” “I Drove All Night,” “Change of Heart,” “Time After Time” and, of course, the immortal “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” She’s also a recent Tony-winning Broadway composer for the smash musical Kinky Boots as well as an Emmy-winning actress for her role on Mad About You. KLBJ Sunset Concert Series with Harvest Thieves, Booher and Slomo Drags

Project ATX6 Showcase feat. Elijah Ford & The Bloom, Beth Chrisman & Her Friends

Elijah Ford is a California native turned Austin-based musician, songwriter and producer, who began his solo career after breaking from touring with Oscar and Grammy award winning musician Ryan Bingham. Ford put out his first solo record, Upon Waking, in 2011, and an EP called Ashes in October of 2012. After spending the last two years touring Europe and the U.S., Elijah and his band, The Bloom, are releasing a new full length album called As You Were on September 16th, 2016. Pond Hockey Club “Twice the Ice” Grand Opening Party

The Pond Hockey Club has expanded to more than twice the size, adding a new 5 on 5 sheet of ice and supporting facilities. Lake Travis Cleanup Day!

Join Keep Austin Beautiful, Travis County, and Colorado River Alliance for the biggest scuba diving, on the water, and shoreline cleanup in Texas. Cleanups are followed by a volunteer party featuring FREE lunch, music, and children’s activities. All volunteers receive a FREE t-shirt! Cleanups are from 9-11am at various locations around Lake Travis. The Volunteer party is 11:30am-1:30pm at The Oasis on Lake Travis.
