Summer Sunset Series

Join for Summer Sunset Series 2019, presented by Topo Chico and sponsored by Outdoor Voices, in Republic Square. An hour vinyasa flow led by a Wanderlust Yoga Austin instructor and accompanied by a live musician or DJ. We hope to build a connection through the activation of yoga, music and community. This free event will be open to the public and catered to all levels of yoga experience. Every Tuesday this summer.

Austin Global Running Day

Global Running Day is a day for people around the world to celebrate the joys of running. Participation is easy—just pledge to take part in some type of running activity on June 5, 2019. It can be a solo lap around the block, a long run with friends, or even a game of tag with your kids. The key is to share your passion for the sport and inspire others to get moving. To celebrate this day Statesman Cap10K, Austin Marathon & Half Marathon® & 3M Half Marathon staff have organized two routes that are variable in distance, free, open to the public and begin and end at Austin American-Statesman’s West parking lot. Social run/walk route distances vary between 3 & 6 miles. This urban route is a combination of sidewalk and pedestrian paths with scenic downtown views. Maps, bottled water, nutritional bars, high fives and selfies will be shared at this year’s Austin Edition of Global Running Day.

Austin Java is hosting an official grand opening party for their new Landing Location at the cell phone lot of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Friday, June 7, from 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. There will be swag giveaways, 99 cent breakfast bowls until 10 a.m., and free drip coffee all day with any purchase. Austin Java continues to support the Central Texas Food Bank and will have a representative and collection bin for monetary donations and non-perishable food items on site.

12th Annual Taste of North Austin

Clear the calendar for the culinary event of the summer! Restaurants from The Domain and North Austin are teaming up for Taste of North Austin on Saturday, June 8. Taking place on Century Oaks Terrace between Macy’s and Neiman Marcus, the 12th annual all-day family food festival will feature delectable tastes, beverage sampling, free live music, children’s entertainment, and of course, fabulous shopping. Guests opting for the limited-availability VIP experience will receive a goody bag, complimentary drinks and access to the VIP lounge. Aromas of the various cuisines will fill the Domain’s open-air corridor, enticing guests to sample fares from local restaurants.
2nd Saturday Summer Series at Brewtorium

Saturday Night Concert Series

This free 10x music series hosted by Austin City Limits Radio features local favorites such as Nakia, Dale Watson and Fastball. The concerts take place in the Central Plaza and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket to lounge on the grassy lawn during the show. Admission is free and dogs are welcome.
The Hartman Foundation Concerts in the Park

Couples lounging on blankets, old friends in their trusty folding chairs, lone bicyclists and pedestrians who have been distracted from their destinations—all united by the sound of music. The Hartman Foundation “Concerts in the Park,” presented by the Austin Symphony Orchestra, brings together ardent enthusiasts and unwitting attendees alike just as similar events did in town centers years ago. In its 17th summer season, these free ensemble concerts take place in the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace and run on Sunday evenings from June 2nd through August 25th (except July 7) 7:30 p.m. A gift from the Hartman Family Foundation, these concerts are presented to the Austin community in thanks for its continued, generous support. Each Sunday a different ensemble of the Austin Symphony will be featured at the new Hartman Park, located on the grounds of the Long Center for the Performing Arts, performing music from jazz and light classical to pops selections and film scores.
