Every month, Brixton hosts a stand up comedy show featuring some of the best locals in town, ranging from fresh new faces to seasoned comedians. Always FREE, and always funny! The show starts at 9:00 p.m. and is 21+. This month’s line up: Atsuko Okatsuka, Jay Whitecotton, Carlton Wilcoxson, Kris Wernowsky, with headliner Tai Nguyen and hosted by Yola Lu. The Chicago based ensemble perform a unique interfusion of Afro-Latin inspired compositions and jams. Influenced by the global troubadours and subversive thinkers of an emerging counterculture in the 70’s and 80’s, the band pays homage to the traditional and progressive while taking their own step forward.
