Join the three mesquiteers Miche Bread, Two Hives Honey, and Desert Door to celebrate the revival
Join the three mesquiteers Miche Bread, Two Hives Honey, and Desert Door to celebrate the revival of Texas mesquite. The sotol plant, of which Desert Door is crafted from, along with the mesquite tree, have deep roots in the state of Texas’ rich history. Both as resilient and tough as the people and land from which they come, this event is truly match made in Texan heaven. Attendees can experience the Texas Mesquite Movement through food, drink, and more, celebrating all things mesquite on Sunday, August 18 at the Desert Door Distillery (211 Darden Hill Rd., Driftwood, Texas) from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This year, Mesquiteers Fest will feature artisan pop ups to learn about how local producers use the native plant in their craft and a live cooking pop up by Hideaway Kitchen & Bar, which will feature the tree in a few dishes. Stick around for live music by Juliet McConkey starting at 3:00 p.m. The event is free with RSVP, and kids and pets are always welcome in the tasting room and patio. Additionally, guests who arrive at 12:00 or 1:00 p.m. can participate in a Desert Door distillery tour.
(Sunday) 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
