Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park in South Austin

If you are looking for a park that has something for every member of your family, Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park is the park for you! With soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, disc golf, picnic tables and miles of gravel trails, Circle C Ranch has it all.

In the mornings and afternoons, the park is crawling with toddlers, and school-aged children. In the evenings, there are usually teens and families playing disc golf, shooting some hoops, or strolling down the 5.9 miles of trails.

Circle C Park is my go-to destination on hot, sunny days. It has playscapes shaded by huge oak trees and is the perfect park for packing a lunch to eat at one of the many shaded picnic tables. My girls love the sand volleyball courts, so I usually pack a few shovels and buckets.

The playscape includes two structures: one designed for little ones, and the other for ages 6 and up. You will want your children to wear closed toe shoes, as the ground cover easily makes its way into little shoes.

The bathroom situation is not too bad, with a decent size stand alone bathroom building. I have never discovered a stall without toilet paper paper, which pretty impressive in my book. This is also a dog friendly park and visitors, for the most part, pick up after their pets.

If you are a fan of disc golf, you are in luck. Circle C Metro Park has a top tier, Class A course that is internationally recognized by the Professional Disc Golf Association.

One word of caution. Circle C Metro Park is home to the Lone Star Soccer Club, so it gets really crazy on Saturday mornings. The parking lots usually empty out about 4:00 p.m. in the spring.

If you happen to make it to the park in the next few weeks, you will find several photo opportunities with the bluebonnets on the trail.
