Hey Austin parents! This isn’t exactly free fun, but it’s so amazing that we had to tell you about it.
There are only three weeks left in the local run of “Beauty and the Beast” on stage at ZACH Theatre, which means that if you haven’t already been then it is officially time to panic! Okay, not really, but we would totally have an overwhelming fear of missing out if we hadn’t already seen this a couple times. Just trust us on this one, you do not want to miss it.
Free Fun In Austin continues to highlight Austin area locations and activities that may not be available at this time. We encourage you to take all safety measures to keep yourself and your neighbors safe. It is our hope that the stories and features on this site will help inform your plans in the future.
Now, we know what you are thinking — “We all know the story, it’s a tale as old as time.” But this is different. When these characters come to life on stage, your jaw will hit the floor. It is an experience like no other, particularly with kids.
The costumes, dancing, singing, set, and story are, of course, totally magical and full of whimsy. We don’t want to give too much away, but everybody who loved the film will totally adore this live production. And if you do go with kids, expect them to be singing and dancing for days after the show. It’s just that good.
Make sure to pick up tickets ahead of time on stage at ZACH Theatre. Tickets range from $30-$150, depending upon where you want to sit. The final run in Austin is on Sunday, Sept. 2, so hurry!
