ATX Kids Club

ATX Kids Club is one of the most active summer camp programs in Austin with a different educational field trip every day!

As part of our 5 day/week Summer Camp program, children spend 4 days/week with a camp counselor on CapMetro exploring Austin. They will visit city buildings, parks, gardens, museums, splashpads, playgrounds and more. One day/week, children travel in our ATX Kids Club Van to destinations that are not accessible from CapMetro.

Schedule is available on our website:

Children are dropped off at one of our convenient locations, head out with their counselor on an adventure, enjoy a picnic lunch, explore some more, and then return back to their drop off/pick up location. There is a great deal of walking, with a focus on fitness and healthy eating during our camp.

This is the summer camp where we focus on fun adventures for all. Let’s make some of our favorite memories this summer!

Average Group: 6 children to 1 camp counselor.

ATX Kids Club is licensed by the City of Austin. Camp Counselors receive training, CPR/First Aid certified, background checks and are hired based on educational focus & experience with children.

Badgerdog Creative Writing Summer Camp

Each summer, Badgerdog enlists Austin’s most talented writers and teaching artists to lead three-week creative writing
 workshops. These
workshops allow rising 3rd- through 12th-
graders to work with a mentor as they explore, experiment, and create new written works. Campers will fill pages of their notebooks with original poetry and prose, encounter the work of classic and contemporary writers, and experience each stage of the writing process—from idea generation to editing to publication. Workshops are limited to 15 students, and campers are grouped according to age.

The $450 registration fee includes a writing journal, a Badgerdog T-shirt, and a copy of the camp anthology. (Badgerdog also offers creative writing programming during Spring Break and a Summer Book Crush.)

Creative Action Summer Camps

Creative Action Summer Camps are among the most popular in Austin!

That’s because our camps are not just fun; they also offer children, ages 5-14, our summer enrichment curriculum based on Creative Action’s 4C principles of creative youth development. We aspire for our campers to be Creative Artists, Courageous Allies, Critical Thinkers, and Confident Leaders.

Whether your child is a quiet, “behind the scenes” player or an outgoing, “center stage” star, there is a place in every camp to nurture their skills and talents! Join us this spring break or summer for full-day camps like Game On!, Movie Magic, Broadway or Bust, Tastes of Texas, and Art Avant-Garde. Campers will work with professional artists on weekly projects that include film, mural-making, writing, podcasting, comics, gardening, cooking, dancing, and singing.

Each week has a different theme sure to keep your child engaged and excited about coming to camp. Our Summer Camps take place in three locations around Austin.
